We asked multiple women to answer one question in true social media fashion. And they delivered.

You’ll be hard pressed to find today’s modern female without a finger on the pulse of social media. And social media is a lot to digest. Keeping up with the Joneses has become the Kardashians, has become youtubers, has become tik tokers.

Being constantly bombarded with the newest trends in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, work outs, food, plants...not to mention keeping up with the rest of life outside of a screen, can all be too much.

Studies upon studies have shown the effects social media has on mental health. From stress to anxiety to depression, loss of identity and that’s just the beginning of a never ending list of issues.

Platforms and outlets that were created to help us connect with one another is instead, creating isolation. Despite the negative factors that come with social media, it is still the most effective way to reach an unlimited number of people in multiple creative ways.

During the process of creating this brand, social media was the obvious outlet to debut on. But we didn’t want to simply create an Insta account and start posting. We wanted to make people think, we wanted to connect people, we wanted to share love.

Going into our personal accounts we contacted as many women as we could and asked a simple question:

What is it that helps you love yourself more?

What item, activity, thing helps motivate you, adds to your self love?

And then we asked for a favour, for them to write the answer down and create a boomerang showcasing their answers. Honestly, we didn’t think much would happen. But man, these boss babes delivered.

The point of this was modern day self expression, self love. Women that loved to just love. In whatever way was most authentic to them. It’s a beacon of light in the mess that can be social media. It’s getting back to the basics: connecting individuals through creative ways, sharing an experience.

We encourage you to think about this question every now and then. Remember the good feels. If you want to connect, check out some of these women, or make a boomerang and join us!
